Louie is currently on the Board of Directors for CCD Business Development Corporation and for the Coos Bay/North Bend Rotary Club. He is a past President of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, and still active in the Chamber's Economic Development and Forestry/ Fisheries Committees as well as being involved with Douglas Timbers Operators. Recipient of the Cardinal's President's Award in 1999 and 2001. Recipient of Cardinal's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006.
